Operation Sindoor: Markaz Taiba, The Terror Den Linked to Kasab, Headley, and Osama bin Laden demolished

Operation Sindoor: In 2000, Osama bin Laden, Al-Qaeda’s 9/11 mastermind, funded ₹10 million to build a mosque and guest house inside the Markaz Taiba complex — later used by Lashkar-e-Taiba as a key terror hub.

International News: India has delivered a sharp counter to the Pahalgam terror attack by launching precision military strikes under “Operation Sindoor.” One of the most significant targets destroyed was the Markaz Taiba complex in Muridke, Pakistan — the nerve center of Lashkar-e-Taiba where 26/11 attacker Ajmal Kasab was trained. This strike is being seen as a clear and bold assertion of India’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.

An 82-Acre Terror Empire Razed

The Muridke compound wasn’t just a simple training center — it was an entire ecosystem of terrorism. Spread over 82 acres, the complex housed a madrassa, residential zones for terror operatives, a local market, a sports ground, fish farming units, and agricultural land. In the early hours of Wednesday, Indian forces reduced this entire setup to debris through precision missile strikes.

Funded by Osama Bin Laden Himself

According to intelligence sources, the construction of a mosque and guest house within the Markaz Taiba campus was financed by none other than Osama bin Laden. Back in 2000, the Al-Qaeda chief reportedly donated Rs 10 million to support the infrastructure of this terror stronghold. This facility had long served as a hub for global jihadi alliances.

Home to the Mumbai Attack Conspirators

Ajmal Kasab received his “Daura-e-Ribat” (intelligence training) at this very facility. The site also hosted Tahawwur Rana and David Coleman Headley — both key conspirators in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. According to American investigation records, Headley had surveyed and coordinated the plot after visiting Muridke multiple times.

9 Terror Targets Hit in Pakistan and PoK

Under Operation Sindoor, India struck nine terror launchpads — four located deep inside Pakistan (including Muridke, Sialkot, and Bahawalpur) and five in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Indian Army stated that the operation was “measured and focused,” with no Pakistani military installations being targeted, thus avoiding escalation while hitting terror infrastructure hard.

PM Modi Gave the Green Light for Action

On April 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting with military leadership. Sources say the PM gave the armed forces “complete operational freedom” to decide the method, target, and timing of retaliation. What followed was a swift and silent execution of one of India’s most impactful counter-terror operations in recent years.

A Message Beyond Borders: No Safe Haven for Terror

Operation Sindoor has sent a powerful message — India will not wait for another tragedy to act. Any territory harboring terrorists, regardless of geography, will be considered a legitimate target. With this strike, India has once again drawn a red line — cross it, and face precise, relentless consequences.
